- The Litchfield Experience
As I got out of the car at Litchfield's showroom for our first team meeting to select cabinets for our new house, I wondered how long it could take to make a few choices of style and finishes. I poured a cup of coffee and spent the next hour listening to Stephen, our architect and my wife plan their approach to designing not just a kitchen but also a kitchen office and Butler's Pantry, two large wet bars, an outdoor kitchen and six bathrooms. Stephen walked us through the issues we had to consider that went far beyond "just cabinets" in order to end up with cohesively and creatively designed rooms. Every choice impacted every other choice, requiring tremendous coordination of finishes and colors, floors, lights and lighting, granite, hinges and pulls, tiles, appliances, sinks, televisions and electronics. - Stephen led the team through a process that spread over many hours, many days and several months with patience, experience and expertise and an eye that saw the end result long before the rooms were actually crafted and assembled. The results are spectacular. Every room has a character, a look and a feel that is unique yet consistent with the design theme targeted from the beginning. Beautiful details abound and charm flows through each room. We could not be happier with Stephen and his team. Our home is a beautiful place laregly because of them.
